Frederik Smal is an artist based in Copenhagen.
He works across drawing, painting and installation, using simple forms to explore intimacy, distance, hope and the ways people make meaning around one another.
He has exhibited in Copenhagen and Reykjavík, including Copenhagen Light Festival and the solo exhibitions Still Life – Still Love and Quiet Courage.
Alongside his art practice, he works in digital product and design.
